ApplyAbout QSpace Labs
Q Space Labs is a deep-tech startup building the next generation of space-based quantum communication infrastructure. We are developing unhackable data links using laser-based optical communication.
Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, part-time Business Development Manager to take ownership of our stakeholder communications, documentation, and outreach. The primary objective of this role is to handle the commercial and operational heavy lifting so our founding team can dedicate their time to the laboratory and R&D.
Responsibilities
- Basic compliance tracking — keep a running checklist of standard, recurring business compliance requirements (e.g., GST filings, basic legal standards) to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Stakeholder tracking & communication — maintain an organized CRM/tracker for all interactions with investors, mentors, incubators, and grant funds. Execute consistent follow-ups to keep these relationships active.
- Documentation & version control — manage our online repository of technical roadmaps, market research, and business documentation. Ensure all files are strictly version-controlled, up-to-date, and securely shared with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Fundraising operations — take the lead on drafting and formatting presentations, pitch decks, and applications for government schemes and VC funding.
- Client & partner discovery — actively identify and target potential clients and strategic partners. Execute cold outreach campaigns and represent the company at industry conferences.
- Brand & digital presence — coordinate with marketing to ensure our technical brand identity is accurately and consistently represented across LinkedIn, public videos, and the website.
- Founder sync-ups — run highly efficient, regular syncs with the CEO/CTO and founding team to provide status updates, flag new applications, and align on priority follow-ups.
Basic Qualifications
- You communicate clearly, concisely, and directly — no corporate jargon.
- You are highly organized and can manage multiple moving parts (applications, follow-ups, document versions) without dropping the ball.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced deep-tech environment and can translate complex technical milestones into clear business applications.
Why join us
- Ground-floor deep tech experience — get an inside look at the development of next-generation space hardware and quantum communication infrastructure.
- Frontline fundraising exposure — play a direct, hands-on role in the capital-raising process, from pitching VCs to securing government defense grants and international incubator placements.
- High-level networking — build your own network by regularly interacting with top-tier technical advisors, aerospace stakeholders, and leading intellectuals in the quantum and space sectors.
- Direct impact — your work immediately translates into tangible company progress by directly freeing up the founding team to focus on laboratory R&D.
- Flexible operations — as a part-time role in an early-stage startup, you get high autonomy and the ability to shape how business development and stakeholder management are executed.
